Kansas City PBS aims
to cultivate and
maintain diversity in
the station’s workforce,
management, governing
boards, contractors
and vendors. It strives
to create a variety of
content that represents
the audiences served.
Ensure that hiring, internal advancement and external recruiting practices
lead to a diversity of management, workforce, contractors, outside vendors
and members of governing boards.
Metrics: Race and Gender
Programming and Content
Create and acquire programming/content that highlights the stories and
people re昀氀ected in the audiences in the Kansas City PBS coverage area.
Metrics: Race, Gender, Age, Sexual Orientation, National Origin,
Economic Status, Religion, Faith and Geography
Processes
Adopt comprehensive protocols that support equitable selection in all
station initiatives.
Metrics: Annual Audit of New Hires/Promotions, Vendors,
Contractors and Editorial Projects
