Representation
As Kansas City’s storyteller, our mission is to ensure the content we create authentically re昀氀ects the breadth
of perspectives and experiences within the communities we serve. The information on this page outlines
our efforts to make sure meaningful representation and thoughtful storytelling are rooted in the services we
provide for Kansas City. This starts internally with our staff and storytellers.
We aim to ensure hiring, internal advancement and external recruiting practices lead to a workforce
and leadership that re昀氀ect the communities we serve. This commitment extends to management, staff,
contractors, outside vendors and governing board members.
